Hi, I'm Dylan Thompson, the driving force behind MRW Artisan Instruments. As the owner, operator, and sole employee, my passion for music and commitment to excellence is at the heart of everything I do. My journey began in the 5th grade with a gifted trumpet, quickly progressing to the French horn where I consistently earned top ratings in competitions.

Despite financial challenges forcing me to quit band in high school, my love for music never faded. Fifteen years later, I rekindled my passion by picking up a clarinet. This led to an apprenticeship with the esteemed Mike Wagner, who entrusted me with his business in 2022.

At MRW Artisan Instruments, I meticulously hand-select and rigorously playtest every clarinet to ensure the highest quality. My extensive expertise in repair services allows me to offer complete customizations, intonation and voicing adjustments, and comprehensive maintenance.

Dedicated to fostering a love for music, I also give back to the community by offering free workshops, scholarships, and support to local school music programs.
